Privacy Policy & Disclaimer

What we collect. When you fill out the contact form, we receive the information you choose to share: your name, email address, and message. Like most websites, this site also collects basic visit data, such as pages viewed and browser type, through Squarespace’s built-in analytics.

How it’s used. Your information is used only to respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation. It is never sold or shared for marketing.

Please don’t share sensitive details through the form. The contact form is not a secure clinical channel. Please keep your message brief, and we can talk about details during your consultation.

Payments and insurance. Payments and reimbursement are handled through HIPAA-compliant platforms (IvyPay and Thrizer), which have their own privacy policies.

Clients. Once you begin therapy, your records are protected under HIPAA and applicable state law. You’ll receive a full Notice of Privacy Practices at intake.

Not for emergencies. This website and contact form are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

No therapist–client relationship. Information on this site is for general education and isn’t a substitute for professional care. Contacting Pause Counseling does not create a therapist–client relationship.
