I am an out-of-network provider. I don’t accept insurance directly, but if you want to use your insurance your plan may have “out-of-network benefits”, which could be used to reimburse a portion of our session cost. To verify your out-of-network benefits inquire with your insurance provider or verify through Thrizer here.
Once verified, you can use your out-of-network benefits in two ways.
(1) you can pay out of pocket and submit a claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement or,
(2) we can use a service called Thrizer to help navigate the out-of-network process. Through Thrizer, you pay a co-pay for our sessions once you meet your deductible instead of paying the full session cost upfront and waiting for reimbursement. This may allow you to save, on average, 70% on our sessions.

Yes, in-person and virtual therapy sessions are available to clients located in NYC.
Virtual therapy sessions are available for clients in NY, NJ, DC, and CT through a HIPAA compliant platform.

A standard therapy session is 50 minutes. Additional time may be allotted on a case by case basis for an additional cost.

Pause Counseling accepts all major credit cards, and health saving accounts. Payments are processed using HIPPA compliant platforms such as IvyPay or Thrizer.

The base fee per session is $200
Pause Counseling may offer a sliding scale fee structure on a case by case basis depending on an individual’s income and need.

We encourage connecting once a week for a session during the beginning stages of therapy. As you establish and meet your goals we can work together to determine what session schedule fits your needs best.

Pause counseling, reserves the right to charge you your full session fee as a cancellation fee for all no-show appointments and appointments that are not cancelled or rescheduled with at least 48-hours notice. Cancellation fees will not be covered by insurance benefits. Clients are responsible for payment of the cancellation fee.
